Team of Promise

Based out of Phoenix, the Arizona Hotshots are one of the founding members of the Alliance of American Football. The professional football team plays their home games at the Sun Devil Stadium, also sharing the field with the Arizona State Sun Devil’s football team. The Hotshots are not the only professional football team located in the state of Arizona. The Arizona Cardinals of the NFL also call the state their home. In the fall of 2018 the league announced that the team would be named after the local area firefighters who were often known as “hotshots”. The team also chose colors that reflected those worn by the area firefighters, as well as a logo featuring a crossed pick head axe as homage to them. The Hotshots held a quick preseason camp in January of 2019 in San Antonio before launching their regular season opener on February 10^th against the Salt Lake Stallions. They quickly made a name for themselves in the league by dominating in their first ever game, winning 38-22.
