The pages of the classic novella The Nutcracker and the Mouse King written by E.T.A . Hoffman come to life on stage every holiday season thanks to the creative work of original composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Originally premiering in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 1892. The Nutcracker follows the adventure of the young girl Clara as she falls asleep the night before Christmas with her beloved nutcracker. In her dream land she weaves her way through the Land of Sweets where they encounter fighting mice, princesses, and even the sugar plum fairy!
