Spokane International Airport (GEG) is located 5 miles west of downtown Spokane and is the second largest airport in Washington. GEG is accessible from I-90 and US-2. Passengers can take the STA from downtown Spokane or use other public transit services to get to GEG.
From GEG to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), typical flight times are 3 to 5 hours. Once at LAX, passengers will find public transit services outside of baggage claim, including bus and airport shuttle service. Taxi hire is available, as is private car rental. LAX is located near the 101 Freeway, I-405 and I-105.
Most visitors come to Los Angeles for television and movie studio tours at Warner Brothers, NBC Universal, and of course the Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL (formerly Grauman’s) Chinese Theatre.
For family fun, the Universal Studios theme park is a must; if you’re looking for Disneyland, head south on the I-5 to Orange County’s Anaheim. Griffith Park, the Los Angeles Zoo and the Hollywood sign are popular tourist destinations.
While in L.A., check out more obscure attractions like Madame Tussauds of Hollywood Wax Museum and the Forever Hollywood Cemetery, where many celebrities are buried.
Visitors usually stay in Hollywood or at one of the airport hotels. Travelers who are driving or hiring car service should be prepared for regular heavy traffic, as Los Angeles is known for being very congested.
