The Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International (YYZ) Airport is northwest of the downtown area. Take advantage of the Brampton Transit, the MI Way, or the GO Transit to make getting to the airport easy. Flight duration is four hours to Montego Bay Sangster International (MBJ) Airport. When you arrive, you are only three miles east of Montego Bay, so consider grabbing a taxi or picking up a rental car.
Wander over to the Martha Brae River, and take a raft ride down to learn more about the surroundings. The Croydon Plantation is another adventure to consider, as the ride there provides many opportunities to take in the views. When going with a tour, you can expect transportation and in some cases lunch to be arranged at the plantation. For a completely different plantation experience, check out the Rose Hall Great House, complete with renovated interiors that maintain the location’s historical significance.
Many people consider Montego Bay’s climate to be ideal because of the year-round warm temperatures. The highs in July and August tend to stay in the 90s, but in January to March, the highs only drop to about the mid-80s. September and October tend to be the wettest months of the year, right at the end of the rainy season.
