It was a redeye. It was cold and hard to sleep. Staff did not offer blankets. I tried unsuccessfully to get attention of staff to ask for one.
I never get a free checked bag even though I pay with Alaska Airlines credit card!
food I bought on trip to anchorage was awful.... $10.95 WHAT A WASTE THE TORTILLA SHELL WAS SOFT LIKE OLD....
Only downside was my partner and I booked together, but were both assigned middle seats, three rows apart. We only got to sit together because a connecting flight was delayed and 20-30 passengers never boarded.

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), with two terminals and four concourses, lies in Romulus, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Detroit. Birthplace of America's auto industry and Motown music, Detroit is home to the Tigers' Comerica Park, Detroit Institute of Arts and Greektown. Along the Detroit River, the GM Renaissance Center rises 73 stories and provides dining, shopping and skyline views of Windsor, Canada. Whether business or pleasure is the reason behind your stay, you’re bound to be kept bust in Detroit.
You'll find several car rental options at the adjacent Ground Transportation Center. With rented wheels, drive 12 miles to Dearborn's Henry Ford Museum. Ann Arbor's Kerrytown Market, a miniature version of Seattle's Pike Place, is only a 20-minute drive. A bit further is the Detroit Zoo, reachable in about 45 minutes. The 25-minute taxi ride to downtown Detroit exceeds $40. A much cheaper but time-consuming option is the $2 SMART Bus trip.
Nonstop flights from Seattle- Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to DTW take more than four hours. If arriving at the McNamara Terminal, you'll find yourself at the world's second longest airport terminal.
Luckily, moving walkways and the ExpressTram people mover shuttle passengers around. Enjoy 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi and charging stations in all gate areas. If your layover is lengthy but not long enough to leave, purchase a day pass at the attached Westin for use of the pool and workout room.
