Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is located five miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City and is a major hub for Delta Airlines and it can be reached via the Bangerter Highway or Interstate 80.

If you have a nonstop flight to Honolulu International Airport (HNL), it should only take about six hours to get there from SLC. Upon arrival in Honolulu, transportation to your hotel will probably make use of the Nimitz Highway or the Queen Liliuokalani Freeway.

Attractions and tips

Pearl Harbor tours are one of the most popular attractions here, being the site of the infamous 1941 bombing which launched the US into World War II. The dormant volcano Diamond Head is situated on Oahu and is a very popular hiking destination.

Iolani Palace was the 19th century home of King Kalakaua and Queen Kapiolani. The Polynesian Cultural Center has a great many interesting exhibits that help to provide an understanding of native culture. The Dole Plantation Train ride goes through a massive pineapple production facility.
