LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is located right on the Grand Central Parkway north of Queens. It is easily accessed by car or taxi, and is a part of the New York City subway system.
Flight times from LGA to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), are usually about two hours, depending on the number of stops. Once in Cleveland, arriving passengers can find transportation or rent a car. The airport is situated 13 miles from downtown Cleveland, just south of I-480 off State Route 237 and is near I-77, I-71, I-90 and the Ohio Turnpike (I-80).
Visitors in Cleveland have to stop by the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame and Museum downtown to catch a glimpse of rock ‘n roll history. While downtown, grab a trolley or walk to see the bars and nightlife on W. 6th Street, or the 5-Star dining on W. 9th Street. Tower City Center and the Arcade are great for shopping and dining.
There are also beautiful Metroparks all around Cleveland, including the Metroparks Zoo. Cleveland is also home to the famed “A Christmas Story” house, the facade of which was used in the 1983 classic.
Cleveland is located on Lake Erie, making it subject to lake effect wind and snow, so summer is the most popular time for tourists. Most visitors stay downtown in one of the many tourist and business hotels.
