Cheap flights from Houston to Beijing

Just 23 miles from downtown, the Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) airport can be accessed by Interstate 45 or Highway 59.

Once you arrive at the hub, you can take a 16-hour flight to the Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). After disembarking your plane and going through customs, jump on the Airport Expressway to reach the city.

Attractions and tips

Places like the Temple of Heaven, which is the place that connects Heaven and Earth, along with the Ming Tombs should not be missed while in Beijing. Of course, you must see the Great Wall of China, as well as the Forbidden City and the historic Tiananmen Square just outside of the Forbidden City.

No trip to Beijing would be complete without a trip to the Beijing Zoo for a glimpse at the Giant Pandas native to this region of the world.

The summers in Beijing are hot and humid, while the winters are cold and dry. In the spring, this area is prone to sandstorms that can sweep into the city quickly. The sites are spread throughout Beijing, so it’s best to stay in the city’s center. The east side of Beijing’s center is closer to more tourist attractions than the west side.

If you are more comfortable being close to other tourists, stay in the Wangfujing area; those wanting a local flair should stay in the Wangjing neighborhood.
