Use the Incheon Airport Railroad to get to Seoul (Incheon) (ICN) quickly and without hassle. This rail service offers stops at 11 stations between the airport and Seoul City, so it's easy to use regardless of where you start your travels. You can expect typical flight times to last approximately 90 minutes. Hop off the plane and onto a train after landing at Beijing Capital (PEK). Take the Express Railway for easy access to Beijing proper.
Stroll through the Forbidden City, an imperial palace that rests adjacent to Tiananmen Square. This site is known not only for its artistry, but also for its complex floorplan. Take in some art at the Dashanzi Art District and 798 Space, a developing region full of galleries and museums. Explore the Olympic Park, the site of the 2008 Olympic games. Many of the structures built for these games have been repurposed for public use, allowing you to put yourself in the shoes of Olympic athletes.
For easy access to restaurants and bars, you should stay in Chaoyang District. For a neighborhood with a young feel, consider the Haidian District; an area popular with college students. Weather changes seasonally in Beijing. Winters are cold and long, with temperatures averaging 32 degrees. Summers are quite rainy and hot, so visiting in the spring or fall is ideal.
