Cheap flights from Houston (HOU) to Honolulu (HNL)

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is over 20 miles outside of Houston so many passengers choose to take advantage of the METRO bus that offers service to the airport. If you don’t want to park, taxis are another great option.

Typical flight times from IAH to Honolulu International Airport (HNL) are almost eight hours and after landing, you can take a shuttle, taxi or bus to downtown Honolulu, only six miles away.

Attractions and Tips

Honolulu is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. The Diamond Head State Monument offers an overhead view of Waikiki Beach.

While making a stop in Waikiki, consider trying the Pineapple Room, located in the Ala Moana Center or called Roy’s Waikiki. After a great meal, head out to the Waikiki Beach and sign up for surfing lessons or a snorkeling excursion. There are also tour boats that will take guests out to look for whales and dolphins.

The weather in Honolulu attracts visitors from around the world. Temperatures remain consistent despite dry summers and wet winters. From around October to April the wet season begins. No matter what time you plan on visiting, make sure that you bring sunglasses and lots of sunscreen.
