Attractions and Tips

The Parque Historico Guayaquil is a must-see during your visit. Separated into three different sections, the park allows you to see the wildlife of the area, the architecture and even the urban aspects of the city. To get better acquainted with the city, consider a guided tour. These can often be customized to what portion of the city or even the activities in which you are most interested. Check out the Parque de las Iguanas where you learn about iguanas and other indigenious species, walk beside them or just sit back and observe them.

Guayaquil is the largest city in Ecuador. From January through to April, expect hot and humid conditions. A considerable amount of rainfall happens during this time as well. The rest of the year is an ideal time to visit. The temperatures cool down considerably and it is not unusual to experience light afternoon and evening breezes.
