Boston Logan International (BOS) is located just east from the city's downtown and is easily reached by car, taxi or public transport. Flights usually last for six hours to Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC). The airport is three miles from downtown and there are excellent public transportation options available (BART, bus, Amtrak) if you prefer not to use the taxis, which can be found just outside the terminal building.
San Jose has plenty of charm to offer its visitors. The city is home to one of the oldest theaters on the West Coast, the California Theatre, and catching a show there is a must-do for anyone staying in the city. Another unique attraction is the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, itself a replica of an ancient temple, filled with all kinds of Ancient Egyptian artifacts. For the kids there's the Children's Discovery Museum with things to do and learn for children of all ages and inclinations.
The city's weather is very mild with warm temperatures throughout the year, though being so close to the bay, it can rain any time and visitors are advised to bring rain gear. San Jose's hotels are mostly found in the center of town, only a short distance from the airport.
