Born Terius Grey in New Orleans, Juvenile started his professional career as a rapper when he was still a teenager. His early music helped spread the gospel of "bounce music," and in 1995 he released his first album. Juvenile was becoming a legend on the local circuit. In 1997 he joined forces with B.G., Turk, and Lil Wayne to form the Hot Boys, releasing the album Get It How U Live! The following year Juvenile unleashed 400 Degreez, the album that propelled him to stardom, featuring the hit singles "Ha" and "Back That Azz Up." Juvenile used the success to push hip hop further, releasing a succession of acclaimed albums. Collaboration is key to Juvenile, and in 2012 he released Rejuvenation, featuring input from Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Drake.
