Success with a totally different sound

Yes began in 1968, when founding members Chris Squire and Jon Anderson first met and began playing together. The band grew and began to tour locally, developing a following. After signing with Atlantic Records, they released their debut album in 1969, gaining recognition from critics like Lester Bangs of Rolling Stone. Since then, Yes has released over twenty albums with hit songs like "Owner of a Lonely Heart," "Roundabout," "Love Will Find a Way," and dozens more. Yes has continued to experiment with their sound, creating musical confections of intricate melodies laced with lyrics focused on the mystical and other-worldly. Yes has had numerous members over the decades, incorporating musicians from all over the world. With these different influences, they've integrated elements of pop, hard rock, and even orchestra into their sound, keeping their music fresh.

Celebrating 50 Years of Yes

One of the original pioneers of rock returned for their 50 years reunion tour in 2018. Their tour is called “#YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES”.

We want to mark this anniversary with a tour that encompasses some of our best-loved work and revisit a few classic pieces that have been lost for a while. We look forward to sharing the 50th anniversary with the fanbase, playing classic songs that celebrate the broad musical style of Yes,” stated Steve Howe guitarist of Yes.
