About Vince Staples

Born on July 2, 1993 in Long Beach, California, rap artist Vince Staples grew up in various parts of Southern California, including Long Beach, Compton and Lynewood. He fell in love with music at an early age, developing a natural lyrical talent. He refused to take his dreams seriously, however, and his childhood was troubled due to difficult relationships with both of his parents. Things took a surprising turn for Staples after his mother kicked him out of the family home. Needing a place to stay, Staples moved in with music producer Syd tha Kyd, who managed the hip-hop collective Odd Future. Despite living with Syd tha Kyd and becoming close friends with Earl Sweatshirt, Staples never actually joined the band. He did make featured appearances on several of the band's hits, however, including Mike G's "Moracular World" and Domo Genesis' "Elimination Chamber."

Proper start
Staples' career started properly after the release of his 2012 mixtape, "Winter in Prague," which was produced entirely by famed hip-hop artist Michael Uzowuru. The tape was released online, free of charge, garnering Staples some attention from new fans. He released a second mixtape the following year called "Stolen Youth," before opening for Mac Miller - who had appeared on "Stolen Youth" - on his national tour, dubbed "Space Migration." Opening for Miller consolidated Staples' fan base, and followers soon became eager to secure cheap tickets to future shows featuring Staples.

Hitting it big
He hit the big time in 2014, however, after he released an extended playlist, "Hell Can Wait." Further acclaim followed in 2015, after the release of his first studio album "Summertime 06." The album was produced by No. ID and Clams Casio, and built up Staples' already impressive fan base considerably. By the spring of 2015, Staples was a hot commodity, especially on social media, amassing 100,000 followers on Twitter alone, and consequently cheap tickets to his show became hard to come by.

Solo and group success
Despite gaining recognition as a solo star, Staples has also continued his involvement with the rap trio Cutthroat Boyz. Alongside Staples, the group is formed of rap artists Aston Matthews and Joey Fatts. It's clear that Staples is at the start of what promises to be an incredibly successful career. With a big year in 2016, including releasing further singles, additional shows and an appearance at the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal, Canada, eager Staples fans shouldn't delay - rush to get cheap Vince Staples tickets today!
