About The Revivalists
The Revivalists are an American alt-rock band who formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2007. The band is made up of nine members, Ed Williams on pedal steel guitar and guitar, David Shaw on lead vocals, Zack Feinberg on guitar, Rob Ingraham on saxophone, George Gekas on bass guitar, Andrew Campanelli on drums and percussion, Michael Girardot on keyboards and trumpet, and Paulet "PJ" Howard on drums and percussion. The Revivalists tour has sold out around the country.
Career
The band released several records independently, including their self-titled EP in 2008. Their debut studio album, Vital Signs, was released in 2010 to critical acclaim. Between the release of their EP and the release of their studio album, The Revivalists tour played shows around the nation. Their second studio album, City of Sound, was released in 2012; the album added folk influences. The Revivalists released their breakthrough album, Men Amongst Mountains, in 2015. They were then named as one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s "10 Bands You Need to Know". In September of 2016, their single, “Wish I Knew You” hit number one on the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart. In May of 2017, the song also reached number one on the Alternative Songs chart. The single was certified platinum in September of 2017. In 2018, the released the single “All My Friends” from the album Take Good Care, and it went to number one on Adult Alternative Radio. The Revivalists have appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, and have performed on Austin City Limits and at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. The group also works with Roots of Music, a tutoring organization for kids.
