The Rise of Champions

Texas Christian University has had a baseball team ever since the late 1800s, its legacy stretching over a hundred years. In 1956 the Horned Frogs made their first NCAA Tournament appearance, and in the 1960s they secured three conference championships. The team really rose to national prominence in 2004 with the hiring of Coach Jim Schlossnagle. TCU won five consecutive conference tournament championships, as well as consistently competing in the NCAA Tournament. In 2009 they won their first NCAA regional championship, and the following year marked the Horned Frogs' debut at the College World Series. Schlossnagle has won multiple coaching awards, but the team's repeat appearances in the College World Series and numerous conference championship titles are a more satisfying reward.
