About Skillet

Skillet is a popular American Christian rock band that is originally from the Tennessee area. Skillet has been active for the better part of the past 25 years. Their music has been described in a variety of ways including Christian Rock, Christian Metal, Alternative Rock, and Nu Metal. A History of Skillet

Skillet is from the city of Memphis, TN and formed back in 1996. During the course of its time, the band has released a total of ten separate albums. Two of their albums received Grammy nominations. A couple of their albums also rose to the heights of Platinum and Double Platinum certification by the RIAA. Two others reached Gold status. Early on during the band’s career, there was a lot of turnover. Now, only John Cooper remains as one of the original members. The band is known for their energetic performing style, which is even more impressive when people think about how often the band performs.
