Highschool Buddies to Rising Country Duo

Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye met in 2010 while attending lessons from the same vocal teacher. After the two girls finished highschool, they moved to Nashville and became the first signees of Dot Records. Maddie & Tae's debut single, "Girl in a Country Song" was a smash hit for being a criticism to today's bro-country trend. The duo debuted their single, "Fly", on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and later released it on their debut album, Start Here, in 2015. They embarked on their first headlining tour shortly after. The duo has also been featured as supporting acts for some legendary artists like Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Tyler Farr and more. In 2017, the rising duo was featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, and also received two nominations at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Maddie and Tae's first single under their new UMG Nashville deal was released in early 2018 called "Friends Don't".
