From child star to independent woman
LeAnn Rimes started performing as a child. From dance and vocalist lessons to TV talent shows to singing the national anthem at Dallas Cowboys games, LeAnn Rime had a crackling stage presence before she was even a teenager. In 1996 she released her debut album with Curb Records. When she was fourteen she won the Grammy for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her single "Blue," making her the youngest Grammy winner in history. She was lauded as the next Patsy Cline, her powerful vocals and entrancing voice captivating listeners around the world. In 2000 LeAnn Rimes migrated to pop music, but she found more success back in her country roots. This Woman, released in 2005, garnered her a Grammy nomination and spawned Top 10 hits. After decades of blazing a trail in the music industry, it's clear that LeAnn Rimes isn't the next Patsy Cline – she's her own independent, unique LeAnn Rimes.
