About Leagues Cup
Anyone who is a fan of soccer has heard about the Leagues Cup. For those who might not know, this is an annual competition that takes place in the world of soccer. Teams from Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX come together in North America to compete. The first iteration of the Leagues Cup takes place in 2019. Four separate teams from each league are invited to take place in the event. It is a single-elimination tournament that was hosted in the United States. The final takes place in Las Vegas. Without a doubt, this event is a resounding success and is likely to be repeated in future years. It is always a fun time to see teams from other leagues come together to test each other.
A History of the Leagues Cup
The Leagues Cup has its first event scheduled for 2019. Four teams from each league have been invited to participate. The first two rounds are hosted at the respective stadiums of the MLS teams. This is not the first time that teams from other leagues have come together to play against each other. One example is the North American Super Liga which played for several years prior to the start of the Leagues Cup. There are also the various international competitions throughout CONCACAF and CONMEBOL. For this reason, the Leagues Cup was floated as an idea and people got excited.
