A History of Dead Can Dance

Dead Can Dance was first formed back in 1981. At that time, the band was put together in Melbourne by two of its original members, Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. Shortly after their formation, the band moved to London. The band grew and performed together for the better part of two decades. They disbanded in 1998. They came back together briefly in 2005 for a world tour before once again disbanding. In 2011, the group decided to come back together for good. They went on tour that year and released a new album. Since 2011, they have been touring and performing regularly, releasing another album in 2018. They will be going on tour again this year.
