For starters, the Grizzlies are a fairly new franchise in the NBA. The team was originally established as the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1995, before moving to Memphis in 2001. Dallas on the other hand has been around since 1980 and has had some small degree of postseason success. As of the start of the 2022-23 season, the two teams have only met 105 times; however, the Mavericks have won 73 of those meetings. The tides may turn as Memphis is one of the teams that cannot be overlooked.
