This story tells the tale of Alexander Hamilton who was a Founding Father. After coming to the United States from the West Indies, he acted as George Washington’s right-hand man. Eventually he became the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Many significant events occurred in his lifetime, stemming from his traumatic childhood. Lin-Manuel Miranda was able to perfectly captivate the life of Alexander Hamilton through modern song and dance. After debuting at The Public Theater in February of 2015, it was clear this musical was going to be a hit. The show opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in August of 2015 and has been successful ever since.
