"Would definitely return, lovely pub with local south west ales, cider's, lagers, spirits. Great atmosphere, live music on night we stayed, not to loud and finished at reasonable time so not disturbing guests. Staff were really nice, helpful and approachable, room was clean and well kept, breakfast was relaxed atmosphere and good size portions, continental available as well. Bonus was they would accommodate a motorbike in a safe place with prior notice given. Overall my opinion is this is a great place to stay and definitely going in the right direction from previous ownership. Deserves more star rating than currently has (but think this is from previous rep) would definitely return without hesitation if current staff and owners preside. Harley Al. Cornwall "

"When I went to check in the person behind the counter told me I did not have a reservation. This then began a series of events that caused significant stress. My phone was out of power as was my lap top. I took my lap top to a neighboring hotel where I was able to see I DID have a reservation. That person was not there when I returned but check in was fine. When I eventually saw the person in question he said I must have made the reservation that day with no apology"

"Lovely converted barn. Nice decor and great lounge and big bedroom. Warm and comfortable. 3 local pubs good for drinks/food. Good location for wells,cheddar and Glastonbury. Perfect 3 nights stay."

"Absolutely amazing stay in Wells. Ros and Neil were incredible hosts, everything had attention to detail, all was neat and tidy, it housed 9 of us quite comfortably. Would definitely book again."

"We had a great few days in the area, Glastonbury, Wells, and walking at Cheddar Gorge. Accommodation was great, everything worked as per instructions. Extremely well equipped apartment if you want to cook in. The only constructive criticism we have for this apartment is the sofa bed in the lounge area is pretty uncomfortable to sit and watch a movie, it’s a bit tired looking compared to the rest of the apartment but didn’t spoil the stay at all. Really good choice, location everything. We did read a review about dog’s barking and experienced this on our last evening but only seems to be when the Vet is open/manned. All quiet after that, two good nights sleep. On this trip we ate out in the evening at the Crown in Wells and the little Pizzeria in Wells. Best pizza in a long time."
