Run down, dirty, roaches! All the positive reviews must be fake! Every towel looked like it had blood stains, glad i brought my own beach towel. I think the pool was green but didn't get that close. I reserved 2 bed got 1, it didn't really matter. Was not given any wifi password, was too late to ask. Stay Somewhere else.

After staying here last year and having an excellent experience my son and I arrived to find multiple questionable characters on the property. While strolling around and getting a lake view of the property, we were confronted by an aggressive male who accused us of peeking into his room to see his children. We were not even near another room at the time. We also observed a couple with the male wearing an ankle bracelet and the female seeming to be seriously under the influence of drugs. Not sure what has happened to this property but we don’t plan to return. I have never given a negative review and we travel a lot. I just don’t want to see anyone else go there and feel unsafe.

Do Not Stay Here

Do not stay here. This place is run down. Probably was really cute and nice in the 60s. Now it is old, dirty and run down. The office area was atrocious. The cabin we stayed in had a terrible smell, TV didn't work, beds were uncomfortable. AC adequate. The whole area was dirty and unkempt. The pool area was totally unsafe and dirty.

Terrible and unsightly upon arrival. The exterior of the building was very poor. Their was a rooster walking outside of my room the whole time yelling early in the morning. The door locks were not secure. The bathroom had a moldy shower curtain. Their were roach baits scattered all over the room visible. The bathroom towels were dirty. Thank god I had my own linens. The only decent thing was location. The website needs to update how old this location is.

Biggest rat hole I ever stayed in. I have never left a review before but this one needs it so you don’t make the same mistake I did and stay here. Disgusting, dirty, worn out. Bugs inside, barking dogs fighting cats outside.

Great old school cottage, only problem was no heat, only a/c. It was only in the 40s, so cold for sitting around. Sleeping was fine. This would be lovely in warm weather if you enjoy a camp-like environment.

It’s more of an extended stay motel than a beach resort. Pretty run down, cockroaches, strange stains and smells. The place looks like it was nice back in the day, but could use a good going through to bring it up to normal cleanliness standards. Clerk asked me to leave a cash deposit which I didn’t have, and had to do a walk through on the way out. Checkout is 10am, not 11am as it says on Expedia. I’m sure it’s fine for someone looking to find a bargain motel.

This was our first experience with deceptive advertising. The condition was so poor the pictures don’t come close to what we saw. Being seniors there were no stable rails and the cottages were dirty and one was boarded up. Expedia should not be listing this proper if one complaint like this is filed. The owner refused to give us a refund which is additionally offensive to us. I should have read the reviews but I have never had a problem like this on any of our trips.

What would I say? I love this place. Very clean and very quiet. They have a kitchenette inside you can definitely cook and make your own meal no need to eat out.The Bed is very comfortable. Its been a year since I started coming here and here I am still loving this place. The price is better than anyone else. Owners are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for those who want a cheap but comfortable stay.
