We checked in to this hotel on 12/26 and had a wonderful experience with checking in. This time, on our way back home to OH, the check in experience was vastly different. We were not greeted by a friendly staff member. In fact, she was extremely rude to the two people in front of me and was hostile towards me, as well. As a paying, traveling customer, I do not expect to be greeted in this manner and despite how great the first check in was, this one was unpleasant enough to not return. Plenty of hotel options in the area to have to deal with someone like this.

Check in was a bit weird - at times I wasn’t sure if the check in person was talking to me or to themselves, so it was just a bit awkward. I don’t know if this is just on the ground floor rooms, but the ceiling was so tall and the room was very echo-y. The floors looked like they were not cleaned properly. The bathtub curtain was not reaching the tub, so the water was going outside on the floor, and the shower head was not adjustable, so the only setting felt like pressure washing my body, quite uncomfortable. If all this is a tactic to make guests use less water, well, it worked. The food was fine. The beds and towels were clean, and everything else, including the check out experience, was great. Even though the road was very noisy and close to our room, I couldn’t hear the traffic inside.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the absolute sweetest and friendliest lady. Check-in was super easy and Cracker Barrel was just a few steps away (for dinner). The facility was very clean, smelled great, pet friendly, free continental breakfast, and it won’t break the bank. We will definitely be staying here again on our way back home.
