"My husband and I stayed at the Sunset Motel for our 30th anniversary trip and it was perfect! It was our first stay there and definitely won't be our last! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was spotless and the owners clearly thought of everything with the recent renovations. Beautiful touches of color, inside and out. Highly recommend!!"

"Room was newly renovated and done up very nicely. Only inconvenience was not having a designated platform to place our luggage. We ended up using the living room table as our luggage platform"

"I loved this place. It felt more like home than any place I've ever stayed. To my surprise, there was a dorm size freezer as well as a refrigerator. I didn't see that in the description. It should be added. The only thing I saw was the refrigerator needed to be defrosted and the pots and pans should be upgraded from Teflon, otherwise it was perfect. I took a bath 4 out of 5 nights. Really a nice feature. I see there was a grill too. It had everything I needed. Parking was always available out front. The neighbors were friendly as well. A great trail two houses up for a nice morning walk or a quick way to get downtown. Just a reminder, no network /cable TV, just streaming. Do like I did, and just check out of TV and enjoy the area. Reads Landing Brewing Company had great food, and it was open when a lot of other restaurants were not. The salmon was wonderful. Just 5 mile up river from Wabasha. DO check out the eagle center It was very interesting. And take the 2 tours too. Well worth it. The scenery of the area bluffs is just gorgeous. I had very little interaction with the host, but when I did, she was on top of things and very informative and nice. I highly recommend this place and the area and I will be back!"
