This hotel was one of our favorite things about a 10-day trip to PR. We we loved the quiet retreat, including being able to stargaze and hear the birds. The open-air style of the room was fantastic -- we stayed dry during rain and saw very few bugs. Carmen and her team are friendly and helpful. The pool is also beautiful! It was well worth the stay a few minutes outside of either town.

We arrive late, after the last ferry got in, so we were told to go to an empty room at the top of the steps. What a thrill, staying at Hicks! The open air concept is amazing. Sleeping with just a mosquito net over us, in the open air, was a delight.

What a gem of a place. Our open air beautiful room was nothing short of paradise. I wasnt all that concerned about 'seeing the ocean' from our room especially due to the amazing staff, relaxing energy that just eminates from the property, the pool...as I write this I wish I was back there!
