I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel due to the behavior of one of the bartenders, Betty. From the beginning, she has made it clear that she does not like me. She refuses to wait on me, gets visibly irritated when other male bartenders serve me, and has even looked me in the eye and said, “I’m not speaking to you” when I simply asked a question about the live music she was already discussing with guests sitting beside me. I went to the bar as usual to enjoy dinner and my two complimentary drinks. The male bartender explained they were out of well vodka, but I could still use my drink tickets and simply pay a small upcharge, which I had done on a previous night without any issues. He served me my drinks, I handed over my two tickets, and everything seemed fine—until Betty appeared. She suddenly began loudly scolding the male bartender in Spanish, right in front of all the guests. He looked shaken and embarrassed, and it created an extremely uncomfortable scene. Betty then grabbed my two drink tickets, refused to honor them, and handed me a bill for nearly $30. When I politely explained that this was not consistent with my past visits, she snapped at me, saying, “You’re wrong. We don’t do that.” She was dismissive, rude, and unwilling to even acknowledge the situation fairly. This is unacceptable treatment for a loyal guest. My company frequently stays at this hotel, and I myself have spent many nights here, often dining and ordering additional drinks.
