The smoke detector in our room 507 went off 3 times. 3:15 am, 6:15 am and 6:50 am. The first 2 times we were dead asleep and abruptly woken. There was nothing in our room that could have set this off. Really defeated the purpose of booking a hotel after a concert downtown to get adequate rest after because we certainly did NOT. Hotel seemed nice otherwise but really overshadowed by the alarms

I paid and booked a superior queen room, and I stayed in a regular one. Front desk claimed it was the same square footage, but I didn’t have a proper table/ desk nor a bench, any closet space, nor any actual room to walk around the room. Disappointing. The entire building reeks of sewage/ garbage or something and they have tried masking the smell with cleaning it, which is great because the whole place was spotless. Very very clean indeed. The staff were helpful as very nice but some of them had chips on their shoulders when you would ask about accommodations and what not.

Room was clean and modern. Pillows were a little too full for my wife. TV could be larger. Staff were exceptional and friendly. Breakfast was great with variety and healthy options. Location is right downtown Vancouver with everything within walking distance.
