The room was clean and our stay was pleasant and reasonably quiet considering the location of the hotel. The online website was fairly easy to work through, and I was able to book online. The pricing was reasonable when comparing some of the other hotels in Tyler, Tx. The only concern that my wife and I encountered was after arriving at the hotel and verifying our room that we requested online to be on the ground floor for my wifes health issues, the office clerk stated that this room request at the office did not hold true and that our fee was for an upstairs room, and we requested a $10.00 fee to allow us to have the ground floor room My wife and I asked the morning clerk about this issue and he stated that we should not have been charged the $10.00 extra fee and refunded the amount to us, note, we had to push our concerns because nothing on the business site stated anything of that nature of the difference of room fees whether booked online or at the office per any customer who walked in to the office and requested their room for the evening. Hopefully this issue does not happen to all of the customers, because that could really affect future customers.

Staff was great extremely RUDE. We stayed in Tyler because my husband had colonoscopy, so we didn't want to drive during prep. There wasn't much toilet paper in our room, we walked to the office and asked for a roll. The guy told my husband "this is all you're getting, so don't come asking for anymore." I ended up having to drive to the nearest dollar store to get some. Very unprofessional.

I don't know where the "excellent" ratings came from, but this was an old hotel that was not in good shape. And unfortunately the room was pretty nasty....the bed was old and drooping in the center, and the blanket had "stains" on in and holes as well. Unfortunately I decided NOT to stay there, turned in my key and was not offered and type of refund.

Hotel appears to be very rundown, can’t tell that from pictures when you book. It was raining and freezing cold, had to stand outside and called four times before someone came to the window to check in. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was filthy. Hair in the shower, and the base of the toilet looked like it had never been clean. It served his purpose for one night, but I won’t be back.
