Check-in was smooth and front desk staff were professional and kind. But anything beyond that would be a 1 star. Upon entering my room, it instantly had a heavy musty smell, tile floor was sticky. In addition, it was 20 degrees outside in Dec and the room had the heat off - room was 58 degrees! I immediately turned on the heat. It felt so cold we did not take off our coats and decided to leave for dinner hoping to come back to a warmer room. Upon returning, the room only warmed up to 67 and had this cold breeze coming from the heat vent. The temp was set at 75, but could not warm above 67. The room is so small our breathing could warm it up quicker! Finally after several hours and trying to sleep while freezing cold air was blowing at us, I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance guy. Apparently they don’t know how to do winter and did not turn some valve in the bathroom ceiling that controls cold water through pipes to make the air conditioner run more efficiently - he came to do this at 10pm. This is where it gets me, he then proceeds to tell me that they are so full (this is a Wednesday evening in Dec) that they have no capacity to move us to a different room. I didn’t even ask to be moved! It is an obvious lie as the parking lot is totally empty -so much parking!!! Why lie? The hotel felt like a ghost town! Only 2 people having breakfast! Can’t believe Hilton puts their name on this hotel. Needs major updates & heat! Drop the lies!
