We were really happy at the cleanliness, location, and staff at the motel. Only real downside was that breakfast was minimal and cold but then it’s not a four star motel. That said we would probably stay again and use the microwave for breakfast!

I was traveling alone and nervous in the parking lot, as there was a gentleman out front smoking and drinking beer in the parking lot in the back of his pickup truck. The staff was very cordial. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very limited. Don't normally stay in a Super 8, but was pleasantly surprised.

Parking was basically a joke. 60+ rooms and only about 30 spots?!?! We arrived later, but had several trucks with trailers parked across 4-5 spots! Was even a semi parked there RIGHT BESIDE SIGN THAT SAID NO SEMIS!! Most all other hotels I've stayed at have specific parking for trailers and bigger trucks. Not to mention there was plenty of parking across street for them. I was originally told I would have to park in restaurant parking across the street with my truck, but ended up finding a spot after someone left luckily. That was biggest issue here, especially when there was plenty of land to expand.

Our room was no smoking but smelled like weed. There was no mananger to talk to and no room to switch to, so we had to leave the window open and leave for several hours because my child was getting a headache. Manager never called me back. Otherwise the place was fine. The breakfast was good.

The Smell....

The staff at this location were truly exceptional (possibly the best hotel team we’ve ever encountered). Every interaction was warm, genuine, and personal; they greeted us by name and made us feel sincerely welcome. Unfortunately, the room itself told a very different story. Room 100 had an overpowering stench that’s hard to describe...a heavy, chemical-like odor that seemed intended to mask something unpleasant but instead made the air nearly unbreathable. Three days later, I can still smell it. The odor permeated everything: our clothes, my skin, even my CPAP machine. I had to replace my filters (over $100), and the scent still lingers faintly inside the device. The bathroom showed clear signs of neglect. The shower grout was crumbling, and visible mold had taken hold both in the corners and around the shower. The floor tiles inside the bathroom were beginning to lift as well. While there was a faint smell in the hallway, the intensity in our room was something else entirely. We didn’t report the issue that night because we assumed all rooms might be the same, but in hindsight, I wish we had. The staff truly deserve praise, they were outstanding, but management needs to address the serious maintenance and odor problems in Room 100 immediately. I cannot recommend staying in that particular room until it’s been properly remediated.

Overall Great and Easy Stay

Checking in ahead of time on the phone is nice, speeding up the process once we got there. My only complaint is the service. Person checking me in was nice and gave good instructions and information, however it sounded like she either had someone on her speaker phone on her cell or was on FaceTime. I don’t want people hearing my business and you are at work. Take some pride in your job. Otherwise the hotel itself was clean and quiet.

This Super 8 is 100% improved since pre-COVID. Once when we stayed, there was a board over the crack in the bathtub, questionable people outside, didn't feel safe. Now it is clean inside and out, the beds are comfortable, got good sleep, quiet. The staff was very nice. Enjoyed our stay very much! Looking forward to the next time!
