Absolutely fantastic stay at Black Rock Resort!!! Spectacular room and amenities. Views are breathtaking, food was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have good weather 2 out of 3 days in late October but the inclusion of real rain jackets in our room made the rainy 2nd day enjoyable. The Wild Pacific Trail is right beside the hotel and definitely worth the hike if you are able. Lighthouse Loop is near and also a wonderful hiking option as are a number of other trails in the area. Tofino is a half hour drive for even more things to do. We had a truly amazing stay at Black Rock Resort and I would highly recommend the resort for any couple or family looking for a stay in the breathtaking nature of the area.

I’ve stayed at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort a few times now and it always blows me away!!! The views are unreal… right on the beach with some of the best scenery in BC. Rooms are super cozy, staff are so kind, and there’s tons of beautiful spots to walk nearby. It’s such a quiet & peaceful location, the definition of relaxation for me! The pool always seems to be closed when I go, but the hot tub and beach more than make up for it!!! I will absolutely be back for my next Tofino trip, as this hotel remains one of my favourites in BC! ☺️

It’s lovely resort but had a few pitfalls. When we arrived to our room it wasn’t ready… the cleaning crew was still there. The shower had run out of shower gel. I get they don’t change sheets etc daily for environmental reasons but for the price I would think they would at least make the bed. We booked here specifically to use the hot tub as we were running the half marathon. After our spa appointment, we couldn’t use it because there were 3 small children splashing around in there. Since the hot tub is shared with spa guests I was surprised they would allow kids in there. Sorta ruined the spa experience. After the race the power went off, which I know is out of their control but the power goes out a lot on the coast. They allowed people to stay in the hot tub for some time (we were at dinner) but the filter had no power so the hot tub had to be shut down for the night even though the power went back on cause the filter had to run. They said we could use it in the morning but it doesn’t open until 10am which is an hour before check out. Their restaurant runs on a generator…. You’d really think they would put the hot tub filter on it as well since it’s a spa in an area proned to outages. Still giving 4 stars because it’s a beautiful resort but really missing the mark for the price

Great rooms and surround scenery was amazing. Hot tub and pool were great. Check in was easy and quick. Lovely stay overall! The food and service at the bar was pretty bad so we decided to eat in the town or tofino instead. Didn't try BlackCurrents restaurant but menus are similar so I'd imagine the food will taste the same.

This was our first stay here. We loved the location, close to our event and perfect for walking the dog down the trails. The hydro did go out at the hotel for the afternoon/ evening which closed the hottub for the night and left us in the dark. We were able to get a flashlight from the front desk though. Check in could have been better, but once we got on, the room was beautiful and cozy. The gentleman who helped with our bags was friendly and helpful as we got settled. Overall we had a great stay

The room felt like they did not cheap out on finishings. Everything was beautiful and over than I have experienced at other resorts, and I booked the inexpensive room. It was nice to not feel like it was inexpensive
