We always stay at the Travelway when we go to Sudbury to see our daughter. Close to her home, and always clean and quiet, it never disappoints. Staff are always polite and efficient, no matter if we check in late or early.

Check in was fine, nice friendly front desk staff. Room was not ok at all. Dirty and smelly. I always wipe down hotel rooms with alcohol wipes and this was by far one of the dirtiest. Blood on the bathroom door, snot or food crusted on the bathroom counters, crumbs all around the carpet. Hair on box spring etc (see pics) went back to front desk to inform them of the condition and was told that there wasn’t any housekeeping on the property (what?!) and that they didn’t think they could move me. After some searching I was offered a different room which I was allowed to check before accepting. On the way to the room the front desk person admitted that their carpets aren’t very fresh and that’s just the way it is. Um Maybe purchase a couple of carpet steamers? The second room smelled better and seemed cleaner so I accepted the switch. Shortly after I noticed a massive stain on the bed ruffle of one of the beds. The next day I spoke to someone from housekeeping showed her my pics and she actually asked me if one of the stains was there when I arrived. Did she think I made the stain and then took a pic to show her for fun?? Later that night I returned and the room had been cleaned but a chip that I had showed her under the bed was still there. Ugh. Would not stay here ever again. I don’t know how it has received so many good reviews. Especially the ones that mention cleanliness as one of its attributes.

The room and hotel were very clean. There was no proper vegetarian breakfast option available. The rooms were nice and spacious, but the mattress was very uncomfortable. I am not a big and heavy person, and I was still sinking into the bed. The AC was not working properly, so it was very hot throughout the night. I was not able to sleep due to these reasons.

Not made aware prior to arrival of a $50 additional deposit. We did not have pets and from our understanding that’s what a credit card is for. Luckily for us, we were able to handle the $50 deposit to our card without any issue but for others they may not. Also, we checked in our reservation with 4 guests and only were given enough supplies for 2 people. Housekeeping just left a pile of face clothes and hand towels after we requested it.. but still not enough for 4 people.

The hotel was quite nice the services was great. We really enjoyed the free ice orange water and the tea and coffee service. The continental breakfast was quite nice. The location was great walking distance to the Science North Centre and to beautiful walking paths and park. The room was very clean and nice in size for our family of 3. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and friendly. We only stayed one night but was very happy with the service provided.t

Great stay in a super long trip!!!

Obviously this hotel was newly renovated, the lobby was fresh, staff were very engaging and pleasant. The room was nice but the plug in the lamp didn’t work and with a CPap machine it is very important. The beds were super comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast area and staff and quality of the meal was excellent and super clean. My only compaint was my room was advertised as a room with a deep soaker tub, and I didn’t think it was (room 115) and with a black chip out of the enamel, it didn’t look that inviting, but again a small thing. After spending the last 30 nights in hotels, we did enjoy this hotel and its staff. Super friendly and very accommodating, so overall a great place to stay.

My stay was even better than I expected! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and smelled really nice (not fake air freshener nice - actually nice LOL). The breakfast was good and I liked the infused water at the refreshment station! The only thing I noticed was "lacking" is the lights in the hallways are quite dim. Not a big deal, just made it feel less bright and welcoming than the rest of the place!
