Hotel was ok a bit dated. The breakfast was pretty good. The location was not the greatest. Alot of homeless people in the area. We stayed on a Saturday and not many businesses were open. We would probably not stay in the downtown core if staying in Sudbury

On September 26/27 I stayed at this BW. If you like curry, then you will enjoy walking into this hotel, as it is quite prevalent in the air. The room was very worn and needs updating. The bed was very comfortable. I did have an issue at the front desk. I came with a $500 limit card for my stay up north as my intent was to pay cash for my rooms. Instead of only holding the $100 deposit on my card they held the deposit and the cost of my stay for 2 nights. $325.80. As I was paying cash for my stay I immediately told them and unfortunately for me the holdback would not be released for 3-5 business days which I have yet to receive. I did ask immediately for it to be reversed and was told to wait for a manager in the morning. I stayed at a BW in North Bay on the 28th and only a $50 deposit was held. Beware and be sure the staff are clear when checking in. Unfortunately this property is also in a part of town that has many unfortunate homeless.

I wanted to burn my clothes and take a bath in acid after! I didn’t stay! The conditions were beyond terrible and downtown safety is very sketch! Best western would be best to not have this location under their name!
