I really enjoyed my stay at Sunrise Beach Motel. The location was beautiful and relaxing, with easy access to the beach. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. It was a peaceful place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Room was absolutely filthy. Bugs smashed into the walls, dirt smeared on them as well. Turned on water for shower and the knobs leaked brown sludge. Nothing like the photos and the staff was nonchalant and unhelpful. 0/10. Don’t waste your money.

This is a property that has a ton of potential. The view from our room was wonderful. We were in a 2nd floor “refurbished” room. The interior walls and floor were new. Beds were great. Thumbs up. The table in our room, though, was unsafe…the top was not connected to the base (as well as being too big for the space). The balcony could have been great, if it had new flooring and seating-we would have loved to sit out there. The parking lot was under construction due to erosion and it needed to be maintained The pool looked super cool. Indoor/outdoor connected pool. If they continue to make improvements, I would stay here, again.

First off, the waterfront view from this motel is great! The room was recently updated inside, but could use some finishing touches. Exposed wiring beside the bed and a smoke alarm hanging open (I assume not in working order) are not ok. Balcony and furniture were dated. Otherwise the room itself was good. Ice cold AC, hot shower with good water pressure, comfortable beds, TV, fridge and microwave! The exterior needs some work. Stairs to the upper level have some boards popped up. Beach is sandy but had some trash. Swingset on the property looked from the 80s. And the overhang at the check in office is held up by some sketchy pillars. If you are looking for a great view of the island and bridge for a reasonable price, this could be your place to stay. If you have high expectations of a high end stay, maybe go for a hotel in town.
