The hotel itself was nice. The cleanliness was not the best. The sheets were not changed from the last people that had stayed in the room- I saw this because there was make up on the pillowcases. I called and asked for clean sheets/pillowcases and the woman at the front desk said she had no one that could give them to me. I went downstairs and showed her and she said there was nothing she could do. So I went and bought new sheets for the bed to sleep on.

We recently stayed 3 nights and the location was great. The room could have used a bit of TLC but it was clean overall. Special shout out to Tonice at the front desk. She was always a joy to be greeted by in the evenings when we would get back.

It’s just out dated. In my room some of the plugs didn’t work. The mini fridge wasn’t standing up straight. Was wedged in a cubby falling over. Should have screen doors on the balcony so you can leave it open.

This hotel is an embarrassment to all hotels. The room smelt of urine and ammonia. The ceiling had water damage and the walls were damaged. The bathroom was disgusting. We immediately left... the hotel refused to refund the money. Do not stay here.

The room was large two king beds and everything needs updated. The beds were hard and the pillows are terrible. The hotel uses people from 3rd world countries for all the work and houses them in substander rooms 4 people to a room. And the breakfast area was nasty and the food was bad. One good thing there is a view from the hotel of Mackinac Island.

This hotel has definitely seen better days. After driving all day, we thought the pool and hot tub would feel good. Both were so dirty that we wouldn't even step in. Hot tub had dirty ring around top of water and could hardly see through pool water to the bottom. Rooms could be cleaner as well.

The beach behind the property is great, water shallow and still warm today 8/13. Our room was very big and clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Fire pits on the beach. In season, you want to bring beach stuff.

Dark and outdated rooms

Upon entry into the lobby I was immediately impressed with the old cherry wood and overall appeal of the lobby area as well as the courteous service at check in, unfortunately that’s where the interior appeal stopped. The room we were in, 106, was incredibly outdated and needs a serious deep cleaning. The carpet is so gross. The pillows are stained and pancakes and the TVs are so small for a “suite room”. The bathroom had visible mildew build up along the shower wall. There are no tissue boxes in this hotel so be prepared to rip your nose to shreds using their 1 ply tp to blow your snot out. The patio could have been the highlight of this room IF the property was properly maintained and cared for. Being right on Lake Huron and getting to listen to the waves roll in is extremely peaceful but the trash on the beach, cigarette butts all over and just an overall dirty patio left me really disappointed that I paid extra to be in a suite that is so incredibly outdated and just dark. Almost $500 for 3 nights was not worth it. The pool, while advertised as heated is NOT. Don’t be fooled. The hot tub had a visible ring around the inside which was quite gross. The location of the property is great and being right on the beach was also nice. But that’s where the positives end.

We checked in early and lucky the room was ready. Room needs a lot of tlc. Burned out lights, rusty air vent covers, patches of paint missing, bed too close to window, drapes too heavy, too long and smelled of smoke. Balcony chairs were the best we ever sat in!
