"When we walked into the room we noticed the floors felt sticky. We used the hotel towels to wiped them down and they were filthy. There were dead bugs on the floor, dents in the door, outlets were painted over and there was no breakfast provided, even though it was listed as an amnesty. Hotels.com charged us ~$140 a night but the hotels website listed it at $58. This would have been about what I expected from a $58 room. The front desk staff was nice but the hotel itself was run down and in horrible condition. They also provided no maid service on weekends so we had to get more towels ourselves. "

"I liked it cause it was pet friendly and right on the beach with good beach access. They activities such as music triva and bingo. The negative to me was it wasn't gated... saw a few locals making the outside/pool area busy. You get a wristband for pool access but no one ever checked for it. Overall we had a great time there."

"The property and the room were great, staff was very helpful on all shifts. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We needed to ask once in our 5 day to have the room serviced but the rest of the time the room was taken care of very well. Our 4th floor beachside balcony gave us a very nice view each day. Our final evening on the balcony was ruined by someone smoking a cigar nearby. Breakfast was usual hotel food with eggs and waffles and cereals and pastries. My main issue was the beach. The hotel is on the beach but it is a very long walk across soft sand to the water and once near the water there is a 4 to 5 foot drop to get to the water's edge and it is a fairly long walk again to get to a spot where it is easy to get down and the up again. The hotel is within walking distance to some very good restaurants and there is a paid trolly service to downtown St Augustine. It was a very nice stay for my wife and I but we wished the ocean was more accessible"

"It’s right on the beach and good for walking. It’s the nicest hotel in the area and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there. The restaurant is really good for an Embassy Suites property."
