Compare Hotels on the River in South Island

"It was a clean and functional room though small. It served our purpose for 3 nights. We used the NZ$50 Expedia credit for one breakfast buffet and still had to pay NZ$20. I’d recommend to avoid the breakfast buffet. It was the worst breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. The hot foods were not hot. The salad greens looked wilted. Had to ask for dressing since none were offered. The cold foods were yogurt, pastries and toppings for yogurt. Pastries looked like store bought and limited in options and did not taste that good. This was the most disappointing buffet breakfast I’ve had in my many years of travel. Even free breakfast I’ve gotten at other hotels were better. "

"This place is great. Our beds were very comfortable. The chairs and sofa were cute but pretty firm and not comfortable. The staff were awesome and the restaurant on the top floor was very good. "

"There were no restaurants & bars open in the evening, the terrace area was dirty & had mould spots, there was no microwave or meal preparation facilities which was disappointing given the restaurants were closed."

"Everything is good except the availability of parking at the Studios. Hopefully there will be a designated parking per room, and laundry bag. "

"Beautiful place away from the business of Queenstown but still easy distance to shops, restaurants etc. nice staff, warm rooms etc. Nice to have a little shop in the lobby too. The only negative would be the car parking I’d say. They have a good number of hotel car parks but when they are full you’ll have to pay for council parking."
