Always an inexpensive stay that takes dogs. Beds very comfortable. Certain problems with the physical plant have long been unattended to: One of the main side entry doors has been broken for years and will not open. The elevator was out of busniess. The ice machine didn't work on the first floor. The door handles on the working side entry door and on room 127 were too hard for my wife open. These are simple-to-fix issues that the Holiday Inn Express organization should never let sliide. Message to the franchise owner: "Spend the money to protect your investment or quit the hospitality business."

My room was really loud all night. Not sure if I was right next to the laundry or what, but it made it very hard to sleep. Ask about being placed in a quiet area of the hotel.

There was a blood stain drop on the sheet, the shower wasn’t so clean, but the bed was comfortable and the breakfast may have been the best continental I’ve ever had. The lady down there was so nice and pleasant. The healthy food options were so nice to see.

Needs Improvement

When we arrived Sunday evening, hotel wasn't crowded. We were given a first floor room at the end of the hall right next to an exit door. Turned out today be very noisy with people entering Android existing. Additionally, not much ceiling insulation so floor squeaked when guests above us walked around. The second day we were ther, we requested the room be refreshed. To our disappointment, it never happened. On the positive side, kitchen staff was fabulous and we enjoying our breakfasts.

Pet free room is truly pet free. I have asthma, and if a dog or cat had been in room, I would have had a bronchial asthma attack, and needed urgent care. As it is, the room is clean and healthy for me. Suggest you have a “no pets” policy, and definitely confine pets to bottom floor.

The pool was unswimmable, green with a bunch of junk on the bottom. The kids were very disappointed they couldn't swim. Our sheets were dirty, the elevator was out of service so we had to carry everything up the stairs. The tub was dirty, felt sticky and some of the bottom was flaking off. The price was totally not worth the stay. It should be a lot cheaper for being dirty and needing a renovation.
