This historic hotel rooms took you back in time with a rotary phone that worked. It was spacious and yet had all the modern amenities. It was very clean and the staff was so friendly. Plus it was pet-friendly which was perfect to have such a memorable stay at this hotel.

Okay Stay - Terrible Customer Service

Restored vintage hotel - Sam Spade vibes. In the heart of old town Silver City, convenient location. Ample street parking. One night stay - which will definitely be our last - woke to no hot water for showers - a very basic expectation for a hotel stay - management refused any degree of refund/discount - which actually was pretty shocking. Very basic accommodations. Comfortable enough bed. 3 tiny pillows. Noisy window air conditioning unit kept room cool enough. Breakfast buffet nice enough but customer 'service' definitely left a bad taste.

The Murray Hotel is located in the Arts District of downtown Silver City. The building is dated 1938, and care is taken to maintain the vintage vibe and highlight the architectural features. The room and adjoining private bath was very clean with nice bedding. A good choice!!

The Murray is such an amazing property! Love the art deco style. It’s a true historic gem in downtown Silver City that’s so convenient to walk anywhere. Definitely a must try! Free breakfast in the morning was also a great hit!

We loved the Art Deco style of the hotel. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was ok but not great. Room smelled clean for being in an old 40’s style building. King Bed was comfortable and was a nice place to arrive and rest. Bathroom was kind of small with no fan but, just feeling the vibe of the old style far outweighed the negative aspects. Would definitely recommend and if out that way again, would stay again.

Was looking forward to seeing Silver City and staying at this art deco hotel. Room was 86 degrees when we checked in and it never went below 80. Hose kept coming disconnected from the window and the A/C itself. Even when it was 67 degrees outside, it was 80-83 in the room. Breakfast was good, but a hot room just sours the trip. Manager came up and said it’s blowing cool air so it should cool off, never did. I mentioned it to the morning clerk when we checked out and she gave me that Gen Z stare I’ve heard so much about. Nearby brewpub was good and nearby coffee shop was good (super awesome patio with a stream), but the town was pretty much closed up on a Sunday.
