"This was our second stay at the same hotel on the same trip. Stay 1, on our way out was a last minute replacement when we realized our original destination was out of reach. Got a great room. Check in was rocky, but very little inconvenience to us. After a long day of driving, couldn't have asked for more. So i reserved a night for the return trip. Not what i expected. The room had many physical problems that were annoying. A broken bathroom countertop (granite) was poorly repaired, making it impossible to be sanitized. A food scrap from a previous occupant was found on the floor by one of the beds. A control knob on the microwave was missing, making heating our light supper a guessing game. After reporting the problems, the front desk called to tell us they would change our room, but it was about an hour later and being exhausted from a hard drive, we were too tired to contimplate packing everything back up, moving and unpacking again. Even if they had offered to do the work, by this time we were too spread out, we would probably turned their offer down. It is the wrong class of hotel to expect that kind of service, so there is no blame to go around. Nonetheless, the second visit disappointment will lead us to pick a different hotel on future trips."
