Decent place to stay a night or two

Nothing special about it, but nothing terribly wrong. The usual cheap-ish hotel by the interstate, bought and operated by a family, apparently, but without any family-run feel to it. The room was quiet, the heat worked well, the bed was comfortable.

Check in was smooth. The front desk guy was super friendly. Took a bit to find where he said to park to enter but otherwise no probs. Area seems a little sketchy but not too bad. Very impressed when we were leaving and a whole Kroger shopping cart was in the second floor landing. Husband and kid said pool was nice until a group of kiddos came in and started splashing and being loud, like kids do. I’ve definitely slept on worse beds but these weren’t the most comfy either. They were harder than my liking. One suggestion would be a bedside table by every bed side. We used a rolling chair for an extra bed table. If there was breakfast as advertised, we never found out as we had to leave early our whole stay for tournaments. I Would for sure stay again.

VetteCity Hotel was a decent place to stay. Staff was friendly, pool and hot tub was nice. We enjoyed our stay with the exception of the beds. They were very hard and uncomfortable. For that reason alone, we would probably stay elsewhere when in the area again. But everything else was fine.

I wasn’t happy that there were live roaches crawling in my bathtub upon my arrival. Makes me wonder how well they exterminated or cleaned the rooms.
