This charming country cottage with parking and front and back gardens is just over three miles from the sea at Thorpeness. The sociable living/dining room is great for relaxing after a day exploring, and the well-equipped modern kitchen is ideal for catering at home, or you can pop to the pub just a few doors away. The stylish bathroom completes the ground floor and two comfy bedrooms with double beds sit on the first floor.
LIVING DINING ROOM
Curl up in the large sofa or chair in front of the TV, challenge yourselves to a jigsaw or game of chess, or enjoy dining at home at the table with four chairs, conveniently next to the kitchen.
KITCHEN
A steep step takes you to the stylish kitchen with units running against both walls housing an electric oven, four ring hob and extractor, a large fridge/freezer (four shelves and veg drawer in the fridge; three deep drawers in the freezer), dishwasher; and free standing microwave, Krups coffee machine (taking standard sized Nespresso pods), a toaster, and kettle. Through the back door is the garden with a BBQ making it perfect for al-fresco dining.
BATHROOM
Beautifully decorated and tiled, this room is off the kitchen and fitted with a bath with a handheld shower over it, a walk-in shower cubicle with both handheld and a rain shower heads, a basin with vanity unit, a WC, heated towel rail (towels will be supplied for all guests), and natural light.
FIRST FLOOR
Relatively steep carpeted stairs with a handrail rise to a small landing giving access to both bedrooms
FRONT BEDROOM
Catching the morning sun, the handsome double bed sits between bedside drawers with an additional chest of drawers and large open wardrobe giving ample room for you to unpack and settle in.
BACK BEDROOM
A little step takes you down to this pretty coastal themed room with a small double bed (4ft), bedside drawers and an open wardrobe with hanging and shelf space.
OUTSIDE
This mid-terraced cottage has unrestricted parking on the green opposite the front gate which opens onto a little path meandering between shrubs to the front door. Through the kitchen is a fully enclosed and paved garden with steps up to a seating area catching the evening sun and there’s a bistro style table and chairs at the front to catch the sun during the day.
AREA
Knodishall is in an excellent position for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside either by car, cycling, or walking, with picturesque and bustling town of Aldeburgh with independent shops and eateries five miles away, and Thorpeness with the popular Dolphin Inn 3.3 miles away.
There’s also a walk across the common literally from the front door and a pub (although not the best in the area) just a two-minute walk away.
REVIEWS
The house was absolutely lovely! In a quiet area with brilliant walks for our dogs on the doorstep. Aldeburgh and Thorpeness are minutes away. The house is spotless and really cosy, we loved the decoration and it had everything we needed for a home from home stay. We really appreciated the milk, biscuits, bottle of wine and treats for the dogs! Just perfect, thank you!
Fab cottage with a secure front and rear garden for our dog. Dog walk straight out of the gate too. Cottage was immaculate and extremely well equipped. Beautifully decorated throughout. We felt it was a true home-from-home and very relaxing. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Only 10 minute drive to the coast and lovely places like Thorpness and Aldeburgh. As a rule we never go back to the same place twice but this one will be an exception.

There’s a little path at the back to a garage with a side gate to stop children or dogs going through.
Please note that the wood burner is currently not operational.
