Hi, Everything was going great until someone tried to break into our outdoor balcony door to get into room around 2 AM. It was very scary due to being a man and jumping off the balcony when we opened the curtains.

First of all, the Expedia site promises much more than what exists. No managers reception, no multiple cafes and bars. Next, staff was mediocre , no tour or help understanding the property. The only restaurant was ok, very limited menu. The rooms on the 1st floor up were quite noisy, but with good views. It is a steep and longish walk down to the “center “. If you are not totally focused on magic mushrooms, not much to do. On the plus side, very hot water and cool weather. The ed was good. There are some nicer, family size rooms further up the slope, though more expensive.

The view was fabulous. Staff not particularly helpful. It was not until our last day of our five night stay that we discovered there were saunas and hot tubs available on the property! No mention in the Expedia description . the daily manager's reception and two coffee shops a listed amenities do not exist. The café that is mentioned were mentioned do not exisThere is only one restaurant and we were always the only client Food was so so . no bars . Steep walkdown to town and back but very beautiful 5-6 mile walk to the village of San Mateo Rio Honda

Would not recommend for Solo female traveling. If you are a couple or a group - maybe - if you want a basic experience with a nice view. On the map Expedia marks this location in town, but it is not. It’s a good 10-15 min walk up a very steep hill. Mototaxis are easily available but when I went to walk myself I was chased by local dogs on one attempt. On check in, no one spoke English (yes I realize I’m in Mexico) but I paid what I considered a higher price thinking there would be good hospitality. I tried my basic Spanish but had to call a friend to help. There is a manager or owner who speaks excellent English but they were very reluctant to call her. It was 5pm on a Wednesday. I had no guidance that evening and stayed in my room not knowing if the area was safe. There were numerous other things: dirty towels, creaky floors, musky smell but I will leave it here. It was essentially an overpriced cottage. Only redeeming qualities were they agreed that I would only pay for one night and check out early, and the view. Very overpriced for what you get in my opinion. Much better quality and friendly people everywhere I went in Oaxaca city. Can’t speak more to San Jose Del Pacifico as I left disappointed the next day.

El hotel cuenta con estacionamiento techado por habitación, una recepción amplia con tienda. En la primer planta existe un área de estar exclusiva para huéspedes. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas, limpias, los baños con agua caliente. Cada cuarto tiene terraza propia.

Muy limpio, personal muy amable siempre dispuestos ayudar, me gusto que las instalaciones tienen espacios compartidos donde hay café y té de poleo disponible sin costo, si no quieren manejar esta el restaurante del hotel alli mismo, pasamos una estadia tranquila, con buen internet, netflix y un minisplit que nos dio todas las comodidades, lo recomiendo ampliamente!
