Room layout was funky, couldn't get in front door as it kept jamming - needed desk clerk to help. Clerk said it was just purchased by another hotel chain, and had been fumigated for bugs (that didn't sit well with me). Nice that it was close to downtown and freeway.

Close to downtown SLO, very close to freeway entrance, some restaurants close by. Parking is decent. Property is dated. We stayed in a 3 bedroom family suite that was a converted 2 bedroom apartment. Couch had two big holes in it. Hairdryer in bathroom did not work. Beds were okay.

Needs a remodel. The room walls and floors were grimy. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The linens are so old they are gray colored, not white. One wall outlet by the bed was covered in duct tape. The room smelled terrible and made us have allergic reactions from most likely mold.
