The motel itself was not in bad condition but, the AC did not work and it was pretty small. There is little air flow inside as well. Thankfully there was a big ceiling fan in the main room. The staff at the front desk are nice, but are very dismissive. When I tried to get the attention of one of the cleaners for help they hurried inside to hide from me. The location is perfect! Literally right next to the beach and a short walk to the pier and shops! I would recommend to a couple but not to a family with more than two kids.

I’ll start with the positive, as there are some wonderful attributes about this property. First and foremost you are literally right on the beach. One step out of the parking lot and you’re walking in sand. The location right downtown is really convenient to places you want to shop, eat, or just be touristy. Everything is within walking distances of a mile or less. The rooms were a little small, but very clean. Now what I consider the major downside with the “Cove” is there is no air-conditioning in the room. That wouldn’t be so bad, but the rooms also don’t have windows that open just paned glass. And I can tell you that it doesn’t matter how mild thr weather is, if you can’t get the air circulating inside the room, it doesn’t matter. Now they did have multiple fans stowed in the closet and a large ceiling fan. But after a while it’s just blowing hot air around. We would keep our door open until 10:00 so it would cool down a bit so we could sleep. I’d tell you how warm the room was but the thermostat was dangling on the wall. Let’s put it this way, my wife and I were both sweating in the room. Also, most of the guests were outside well into the evening as they didn’t want to be inside their rooms.

Solo Mama Staycation

The stay was amazing! Great views, everyday. The room was very clean and nice. Could use some sheer drapes besides the thick curtains. Would’ve been nice to have the drapes open more but with some privacy and capability to enjoy the view still. The bathroom window in my room would not stay up, but I easily remedied that with a tall hairspray bottle to hold it up. I did make sure to mention this to the office staff. Other than that, a wonderful stay with very accommodating hotel staff. Very friendly and appreciated.

Best location for best price.

Very good location. Walking distance to everything. Free parking. May be noisy in the day because people passing by and thin walls but very quiet at night. No AC so it can be humid in the room. There is a small heater for cold season. *a message to the receptionist: thank you for contacting me after the room clean up. I accidently left my pants, shirt and undergarment behind the bathroom door and he called me. I was too far going home so i asked him to ship it. Thank you for your honesty.

I've stayed here before a few years back but never in the room I was recently in. Also, the outside has changed dramatically. I did not like that they changed out the outdoor fire pit for a dolphin statue. It was so nice to sit out there on the cool nights. This time it was just my husband and I so we downsized to the smallest room available and it was so incredibly small it was horrible. There were limitedcoutlets, you had to unplug either the fridge or microwave to run the coffee pot. Unplug the clock to charge a phone. The room was so warm in the afternoon with no AC we had to leave it or leave the door open. Not worth the amount we paid, but I get it, you pay for the veiw and location. The grounds need upgrades and the rooms to compete with the other places close by.
