ESJ the staff was very friendly and try to help in any circumstances. It was really safe!! The property needs a lot of updates, the pool was under construction, my husband and I noticed once we checked in. The reason we booked ESJ was to celebrate our honeymoon and enjoy the pool and no pool that was sad. ESJ should advertise there is NO POOL. The room was ok, but it was not clean the kitchen was dirty.The checked in process was horrible, I truly felt bad for the concierge, she was the only one helping like 20 people; my husband and I we waited for almost 2 hours to have the room we booked.I asked for ocean view prior the check in. We received a different room, at the end the concierge accommodated us. Only 2 elevators worked instead of 3.The concierge that checked us in she goes above and beyond. Willy bar tender was very pleasant and very professional.

El personal muy amable y servicial, la limpieza estuvo muy bien,camas y almohadas muy comfortantes, pero las facilidades necesitan urgente un up grade, decoracion, musiquita a volumen bajo, eso parecía que en vez d hotel estaba en funeral y más q es Navidad, el teléfono de la habitación no funcionaba, las lámparas de la mesa de noche tampoco funcionaban. El check in tras de que es tarde a las 4:00 nos entregaron habitación a las 5 y pico de la tarde. Tiene acceso a la playa pero el hotel no te provee gratis las sillas ni sombrilla, hay q pagar. El área d la piscina está en remodelación supuestamente, por q se ve en el olvido el área y en muy mal estado. Desde nuestro balcón, sí se podía apreciar un poco el mar pero más fue la visibilidad al área horrible en el olvido d la piscina con suciedad y vegetación y facilidades con muchos daños a la estructura. El estacionamiento es un "caos" por q si sales, al llegar no hay estacionamiento y tienes q esperar. Sinceramente deben de mejorar en muchas cosas.

Gave it a 3 just because the location is great right next to the San Juan Hotel and Casino and right on the beach, and because the renovated room has a great size and layout. Now the rest left a lot to say. When I got there they front desk had a sign that said will be back in 30, the room had a back door to a patio that wouldnt lock and a water heater that kept tripping the breaker. I went to office to let them know and didnt do anything about it. Last day I asked for a late checkout and even knowing the issues I had, they only allowed me to stay 30 extra minutes when the room wasnt even rented that day after us. I hope they fix this issues as I would like to come back after they finish the renovations.

There was an extra $100 fee that I didn’t know about, I didn’t get the room that I was expecting (a king size bed instead of the double bed) and the door of the bathroom was not working properly. All thought all those things happened, the staff was amazing, especially the security staff and the Front Desk.

There was a lack of communication. We asked for beach towels on four occasions- and received them once. They always said that someone was bringing them to the lobby or to our room- and that didn’t happen. A discount should be offered for the pool being down. Also, we can only access the beach until 7pm- if they had working scan cards, we could have had night beach walks. One of our biggest hurdles was the lack of WiFi. We were unable to research adventures and excursions in the area or make reservations.

The property and the location of the property is beautiful. My issue is with the staff. I didn’t have Wi-Fi the entire time. I was there. I made them aware of the situation as once I arrived they made attempts, but they never resolved it. I was without hot water for two days so for me, the tentativeness was not there in regards to solving my issues. Other than that I had a pleasant time it’s a wonderful property located right on the beach.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I will stay here and recommend it. it is very secure, clean, and the staff are friendly, speak English. It is directly on the beach, so this is definitely great, one of the many reasons I booked with them.

The property advertises a pool......there is not one and apparently hasnt been for over 5 years.. No basic housekeeping - so if you need TP or towels you are out of luck and must get on your own. Small coffee shop in lounge has awful coffee and no cream at all. Game room not operational and floors throughout lobby get dangerously slick from people coming in from beach or the constant mopping going on. There were live wires hanging from our balcony which overlooked the extent of disrepair property is in. This is all a terrible shame as this property has the best view in all of of Isla Verde.Ended up checking out early and paid to stay a night elsewhere. Still love PR but not ESJ.
